Strong thunderstorms Friday morning forced officials of Western Kentucky Speedway and the World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series to cancel the $10,000 to win “1^st Western Kentucky Classic 50” at the high-banked 3/8ths mile oval. The event may be rescheduled for later in the season provided a suitable date can be found.

Over 3 inches of rain fell over the Madisonville area early Friday morning resulting in massive flooding which closed roads and filled the infield area of the speedway with nearly 3 feet of water. With weather forecasts predicting an additional 1 inch to 3 inches of rain to fall through the week-end officials were left with no choice but to cancel the event.
