‘Kid Rocket’ Richards of Shinnston, WV had a busy weekend and is currently
in the middle of an even busier week as the young gun had raced on both
asphalt and dirt during the past weekend. Kid Rocket is currently on the
road with the Stacker 2 World of Outlaw Late Model Series this week in his
Mark Richards Racing-owned #1 Seubert Calf Ranches, Ace Metal Works, MCB
Motorsports, Hoosier Racing Tires, Rocket Chassis, Cornett Engines Grand
Prix.
On Friday night June 24 Kid Rocket made a return to Motordrome Speedway in
Smithton, PA for another round of asphalt racing driving the Neil Brown
owned Late Model where he came home an impressive third in main event
action.
The following evening Kid Rocket got back on the dirt as the team headed
south to Elkins Speedway for the 5th Annual Chuck Gear Memorial. Scoring a
second in his heat race put Kid Rocket into the main event where he scored a
sixth place finish and the Hard Charger of the Race Award after starting
12th and engaging in a side-by-side crowd-pleasing duel with Booper Bare.
On Monday June 27 Kid Rocket and the team jumped back on the Stacker 2 WoO
LMS trail and rode into Ransomville Speedway in New York. During qualifying
Kid Rocket timed in second quickest out of the 39-car field with a time of
17.447 and finished second in heat two. When the checkers dropped Kid Rocket
had come across the finish line in the main event in sixth.
With a day off Kid Rocket and team are preparing for the World Of Outlaws
Stacker 2® Late Model Series race at Fulton Speedway in Fulton, NY on
Wednesday, June 29th and then to Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, NJ
Thursday, June 30th. A travel day will get the World of Outlaws Stacker 2®
Late Model Series to Stateline Speedway in Jamestown (Busti), NY Saturday,
July 2nd. Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, DE hosts the series
Wednesday, July 6th followed by separate events at Hagerstown Speedway in
Hagerstown, MD Friday, July 8th and Saturday, July 9th. The long trek winds
up at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, OH Tuesday, July 12th. |
