Kid Rocket Competes In Keystone State

Shinnston, WV --- Josh ‘Kid Rocket’ Richards headed to Pennsylvania for World of Outlaws Late Model Series competition this past weekend competing in his Mark Richards Racing-owned #1 Seubert Calf Ranches, Ace Metal Works, MCB Motorsports, Hoosier Racing Tires, Rocket Chassis, Cornett Engines Grand Prix at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, PA for the two-day, two program Oil Region Labor Day Weekend Classic.

On Sunday evening Kid Rocket finished second in his heat race and in the main event battled his way throughout the 50-lap feature to finish second behind race winner Chub Frank. “I started the last lap running third and thinking, ‘We got a pretty good
finish here’,” said Kid Rocket, who started fifth. “Then I rolled into three and saw Chub go out there and go for the win.” Kid Rocket finished behind the winner with a 1.769 seconds margin.

On Labor Day for the second night of WoO LMS competition at Tri-City Speedway Kid Rocket won his heat race before finishing 17th in the main event.

Up next for Kid Rocket will be a return to the mighty highbanks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH for the upcoming WORLD 100. The WoO LMS is off until visiting Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pa., on Sept. 22-23 for the Pittsburgher 100.
