‘Kid Rocket’ Richards of Shinnston, WV remains on the road with the Stacker
2 World of Outlaw Late Model Series (WoO LMS) and just completed two events
in two states, Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey and Stateline Speedway in
New York in his Mark Richards Racing-owned #1 Seubert Calf Ranches, Ace
Metal Works, MCB Motorsports, Hoosier Racing Tires, Rocket Chassis, Cornett
Engines Grand Prix.
On Thursday evening at Bridgeport Speedway Kid Rocket clocked in eighth
fastest during time trials and scored a second place finish in his heat
before rallying for an impressive third place in the main event. “The car
was good. We were a little soft on tires,” Richards said. “Tonight, the car
felt the same everywhere.”t him back.”
From Bridgeport Josh and the team went to Rick Eckert’s shop for a day to
service and rebuild the cars and then it was on to Stateline Speedway in
Busti, NY.
At Stateline Speedway Kid Rocket started the night off by qualifying 17th
fastest in time trials. During competition Kid Rocket scored a second place
in his heat race and a 20th place finish in the feature event. Currently Kid
Rocket leads the WoO LMS Rookie fo the Year points and sits in sixth in the
WoO LMS national points championship chase.
It’s back on the road for Kid Rocket as Delaware International Speedway in
Delmar, DE hosts the series Wednesday, July 6th followed by separate events
at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD Friday, July 8th and Saturday, July
9th. The long trek winds up at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, OH Tuesday, July
12th. |
