Kid Rocket will be competing as part of Venture Racing’s ‘Super Team’ that includes 2005 Nextel Cup NASCAR champion Tony Stewart, Jason Leffler, Sammy Swindell and Kevin Swindell.

“I’m fired up and ready to go and I’m stoked,” stated Kid Rocket as he prepares for one of the most prestigious short track races in the country. “We went out to Indianapolis a few weeks ago and got fitted at Spike Chassis with John Godfrey. Tony Stewart’s car was sitting next to mine and Mr. Godfrey mentioned our cars would be traveling together in the hauler. That was kind of cool.”

Kid Rocket will leave Shinnston, WV on Tuesday morning and will be ready for the Tuesday night practice session. Kid Rocket will be competing in his first Chili Bowl driving a Spike Chassis equipped with a Gary Stanton Mopar Racing Engines sponsored by Seubert Calf Ranches of Dorchester, WI, Ace Metal Works of Enterprise, WV, Complete Flooring of Laplata, MD and Stanton Racing Engines/ Mopar.

“I just can’t wait to get there and compete,” added Kid Rocket. “I’ve heard so much about it and I know it’s one of the biggest races of the year. I’ve never been there but I’ve been watching tapes of past races and like I said before, I’m ready! I’ve worked out all winter for this.”

Mike Farr of Farr Motorsports will be leaving Monday evening to meet with Kid Rocket and his father, noted dirt Late Model car builder Mark Richards in Tulsa, OK to assist.

Kid Rocket is also part of the new full-color T-Shirt that was produced for Venture Racing featuring all of the Venture Racing team cars that will participate in the 20th Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.
