‘Kid Rocket’ Richards of Shinnston, WV had an eventful weekend with the
Stacker 2 World of Outlaw Late Model Series (WoO LMS) with a two night stay
in Wisconsin driving his Mark Richards Racing-owned #1 Seubert Calf Ranches,
Ace Metal Works, MCB Motorsports, Hoosier Racing Tires, Rocket Chassis,
Cornett Engines Grand Prix.
Kid Rocket and team traveled to the “18th Annual Stacker 2® USA Nationals
60” at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI where Kid Rocket qualified
fifth fastest, won his heat race and finished sixth in the dash race. During
the main event Kid Rocket drove a fast and furious race and by lap 30 of the
60-lap main event was competing virtually side-by-side with top running
Billy Moyer, Dale McDowell and Steve Francis up front. By lap 45 Kid Rocket
was solidly in fourth and moving forward when on lap 51 Kid Rocket would
slow and bring out the caution for a flat tire after running over a piece of
a header that had fallen to the track from another car. After changing tires
and rejoining the field on the tail for the last nine laps Kid Rocket
managed to finish 12th.
Kid Rocket and team spent a couple days at the shop of Seubert Calf Ranches
to service the cars before traveling on Tuesday to the Dubuque Fairgrounds
Speedway in Iowa which will be followed by two more Stacker 2 World of
Outlaw Late Model Series races at Lernerville Speedway in Pennsylvania on
Friday August 12 and Lincoln Speedway in Pennsylvania on August 13.
A special “meet –n- greet” is planned for fans attending the Friday, August
12th “Advanced Auto Parts 50” at Lernerville Speedway. Fans will be allowed
to browse the pit area from 4:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. to meet the drivers and
race teams. Persons not purchasing a pit pass will be cleared from the pit
area at 5:00p.m. and, Josh and several other World of Outlaws Stacker 2®
Late Model Series drivers will be signing autographs Friday, August 12th
from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. at the “Lernerville Speedway Store” located 20
minutes from the speedway on State Route 28 in the Pittsburgh Mills Mall. |
